Abstract

Biomedical technologies for oncology covers a wide range along the patient journey from prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and rehabilitation. A vibrant I&T ecosystem to expedite technology translation and adoption requires several key ingredients. A complete value chain must be in place for the successful commercialization. HKSTP has committed billions of USD to bolster its biotech ecosystem by investing in incubation programs, critical R&D infrastructures, funding programs to facilitate preclinical-to-clinical transition, talent development schemes while levering one of the most robust IP protection, privacy, and consumer protection laws.
